The Flour Box Tearoom & Cafe is looking for the following positions at its Kernersville location. 

The Flour Box offers an English style tea service as well as light lunch fare.

Server - Saturday and Sunday 10:30 am - 4:30 pm

The ideal candidates should have the following qualities:

·     Prior experience in a food-serving establishment 

·     Excellent written and oral communication skills

·     Knowledge of English Tea service and different types of cuisines

·     Very good interpersonal skills

·     Basic bookkeeping knowledge 

·     Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems

·     Ability to work on feet for an extended period

pastry chef

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities:

• Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker, or relevant role

•   Great attention to detail and creativity

•   Organizational skills

•   Willingness to replenish professional knowledge

•   In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition

•   Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)

•   Certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking or relevant field

•   ServeSafe Certificate

Sous Chef

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities:

•    A passion for cooking and exceptional cooking skills

•    Familiarity with the best practices in the restaurant industry

•    Knowledge of health and safety standards

•    Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure

•    Advanced verbal and written communication skills

•   Attention to detail and organizational skills

•   ServeSafe Certificate
